Looking for a way to get more involved with the IES-APA? Join our Young & Emerging Professionals Group!

The IES-APA’s Young & Emerging Planners Group (YEP) connects the new generation of planners with seasoned professionals and open opportunities to meet colleagues, build skills, and volunteer. Participating in YEP events is a natural path to making new friends, expanding your network, and finding a professional mentor. There are many opportunities to get involved with the IES-APA YEP!

The IES-APA YEP strives to create a social and professional network among students, young professionals and the planning community by exploring different specializations and participating in regional  activities related to planning. Our vision is to connect planners starting their professional careers and in their planning ambitions with seasoned planning professionals. The purpose of the YEP is to provide opportunities to learn more about planning and related fields, build successful careers, expand social and professional networks, and ultimately become leaders in the field. The IES-APA YEP is a resource for all planners, with an emphasis on those under the age of 35 and/or who may have less than 8-10 years of professional planning experience
