Ten Scholarships Available for Mobile Workshop #14: Downtown Riverside Civil Rights Walk
T​he APA California Diversity and Equity Program is pleased to announce the availability of 10 scholarships–valued at $50 each–for students (including recent graduates) who can demonstrate “financial assistance need” to attend Mobile Workshop #14: Downtown Riverside Civil Rights Walk. This opportunity is for conference registrants only.
This mobile workshop will delve into the City of Riverside’s ongoing “Civil Rights” journey and its obvious, and not so obvious, imprint on the built environment. Speakers along the way will include Mayor Lockdowson, City Councilmember Falcone and other City of Riverside’s Cultural Leaders. A special appearance of the Groundseries ensemble, will provide an interpretation through creative movement to instigate conversations about civil rights. The mobile workshop will conclude with a reception at the Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California.
The scholarships will be awarded on a first come first serve basis and will be available until CBD September 20, 2025 or as soon as ten have been claimed.
